The Model OB-12 Operable bollard is engineered to meet ASTM F2656-07 M50 (equivalent to US DOS K-12). The unit is designed with the newest technology available allowing for smooth operation, low maintenance and long life. The OB-12 can be operated as a group or independently from a single power source. Normal operating speeds range from four (4) to fifteen (15) seconds, but in emergency situations the system can be deployed in one (1) to two (2) seconds. To facilitate integration into existing architecture, the OB-12 operable bollards and decorative bollard covers (optional) are available in a wide variety of custom colors and designs.
Controlling the OB-12 operable bollard system is the P-5X Hydraulic Pumping Unit (HPU) with a universal program (PLC) that allows inputs from a variety of devices including push buttons, card readers, and vehicle loop detectors. The P-5X is designed to operate single or multiple bollard systems. Designed for easy access and maintenance, the P-5X contains a 20 gallon tank for heat dispersion, an internal electrical box, and a PLC for long life and reliability. The standard dimensions are 60”H x 25”W x 48”L with a weight of 600 lbs.
